Heartbreak frequently visits those who reside in failing nation states and crippled societies. With every news cycle, there is a jab of betrayal, then eventual despair, then bitter resilience. Sometimes, joy slips through cracks and forgetfulness comes to aid. There is no closure though; eventually one has to face the music.
Inspired by a series of interview clips from 2010 of a 24 year old Junaid Hafeez, a young academic full of life and dreams, who has now spent 10 years in solitary confinement as he awaits the death penalty under allegations of blasphemy.
